2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Each time this website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page accessed, browser and operating system used, and the previously visited page (referrer URL). This data is used exclusively to ensure stable, secure operation of the website and to improve our offering, and is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website).
3. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are hosted locally on our own web space. No connection is made to servers operated by Google or any other font provider, and no data is transmitted to third parties in this respect.
4. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, the data you provide (your email address and, where applicable, your name and phone number) is stored by us in order to process your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as the enquiry serves to prepare or perform a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer required to process the enquiry.
5. Newsletter sign-up
This website displays a form to sign up for a newsletter with new essays and updates on the book's publication date. Submitting the form forwards your email address directly to info@beyond-ppp.de via a script running on our own web space; no external service provider is involved. The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). At present this is a simple expression-of-interest capture, not yet an automated mailing. Once a double opt-in mailing service is connected, you will receive a confirmation email after entering your address and will only be added to a mailing list once you confirm it; this privacy policy will then be updated with details of the mailing service used. You may object to the storage of your email address at any time, informally, by emailing info@beyond-ppp.de.
6. Your rights
You have the right to request information about your stored personal data at any time (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as its rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR). Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you also have a right to object under Art. 21 GDPR. Please contact info@beyond-ppp.de for any of these requests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, who is responsible for us.
7. Changes to this privacy policy
We will update this privacy policy whenever the scope of data processing on this website changes, for example once newsletter dispatch is activated. The version in effect at the time of your visit applies.
